With each bird I paint, I gain a deeper appreciation for the breathtaking splendor of nature. The colors are profoundly vibrant, and their combinations in each bird are consistently mesmerizing and one of a kind.  

From branch to brush.  The other day, this vibrant little Blue Tit graced my pear tree bird feeder. I managed to snap a quick photo as it flitted about, a tiny bolt of blue and yellow against the grey sky. That moment was so lovely, I felt inspired to pick up my paints and try to capture its energy and delicate beauty forever. Sometimes the best subjects are right outside your window.
